I also forgot to mention that my screen saver comes on in 5 minutes which makes it even stranger. As soon as I touch my mouse, the screensaver goes off and I'm back to the BSOD.

I tried the Microsoft route described on Daniweb and got 2/3 the way through copying and deleting the first batch of files and it couldn't find the last 3rd to copy. I tried your method and am happily on my way to backing up data. It appeas there is something else wrong with PC - runs extremely slow.

However, as a side note, check the black screen pictures. They're some spaces they forgot to add in, such as: cd restore is listed as- cd_respo~1 however, you need to type in- cd _respo~1 other than that, this article is so much help.
