This article applies only to the following classes of valid ip’s: 192.168.x.x; 10.x.x.x; 172.16.x.x

1. Open Internet Explorer
2. Click File/Open and enter the ip address of the gateway
3. If the modem can be configured through http you will see the modem setup page. This will prove there’s nothing wrong with the computer’s connectivity if it is the case. You will have depending on the modem the possibility to reset to factory defaults and you will be able to see which the ISP’s DNS servers are. You can setup manually the DNS settings to this DNS servers in case the modem it’s not forwarding requests.
