Firefox Search Bar Not Working and Cannot Add New Search Engines

If you find yourself trying to enter something into the Firefox search bar and when you hit Enter nothing happens here's what to do:
- Exit Firefox
- Go to Start, choose Run and execute %userprofile%
- Go to Local Settings\Application Data\Mozilla\Firefox\Profiles
- Double click on your profile folder (usually ends in default)
- Delete (or rename) the file "search.sqlite".
- Delete (or rename) the file "formhistory.sqlite".
- Re-start Firefox to see if it solves your problem.

Change the location to the directory that contains the DLLs
Then execute the following commands.
Type dir /B /S *.dll > dlls
Type for /F "delims=" %i in (dlls) do regsvr32 "%i" /S
or
for /F "delims=" %i in (dlls) do c:\WINDOWS\Microsoft.NET\Framework\v2.0.50727\regasm "%i" /S

You are receiving the following message when you log on to Windows:
dlbcserv.exe has encountered a problem and
needs to close

Cause
This error message is a result of your Dell printer software functioning improperly.
Solution
This is just a quick workaround which will get rid of the error message by removing the problematic application from system startup. If you want to continue to have the dlbcserv.exe function properly Uninstall/Reinstall your Dell printer.
1. Click on Start, navigate to All Programs and click on Startup
2. Right click on dlbcserv.exe and choose delete

Cause
Your registry cleanup utility deleted the Most Recently Used(MRU) list for My Pictures.
Solution
1. Go to Start, click run and enter regedit
2. Navigate to the following key:
HKEY_CURRENT_USER\Software\Microsoft\Windows\CurrentVersion\Media Center\MRU\PicturesMRU
3. Set the value of this key to 0.

If you have difficulties finding the key run the attached batch file.

Registry editing has been disabled by your administrator

Symptoms: You are getting the following message when you're trying to use registry editing tools.

Cause: This problem is caused by a group policy.
Solution:
Download HijackThis from the following location: http://www.merijn.org/files/hijackthis.zip
Run a system scan only.
Locate the following entry:
O7 - HKCU\Software\Microsoft\Windows\CurrentVersion\Policies\System, DisableRegedit=1
Check this entry and click Fix Checked
Logoff and log back in.
