Speeding up the system logoff/shutdown.

Speeding up the system logoff/shutdown.
Resolutions:785

Batch file attached: SpeedSD
Description: OS: Windows XP. Speeds up the system shutdown by telling the system to end non responsive applications.

Here's something that can help you to shutdown your computer very quick:

Run the atached batch file or open your registry editor (Start/Run Regedit)

1. Navigate to: HKEY_CURRENT_USER\Control Panel\Desktop
On the right panel look for AutoEndTasks and change the value to 1.
Also look for WaitToKillAppTimeout and change the value to 1000.

2. Navigate to: HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE\SYSTEM\CurrentControlSet\Control
On the right panel double click on WaitToKillServiceTimeout and change the value to 2000 .

Effects should be noticed after the next reboot.
