Click on the services tab on the top. This will show you a list of the system and 3rd party services that are launched during startup. If the service is checked it means that it's enabled.

Some of the items in the list are very important and should not be disabled. For example the Remote Procedure Call or the Plug and Play Service. Other of the services are not absolutely necessary for the system to run but will limit functionality if they will be disabled.

At the same time disabling unnecessary services will increase system performance.Click here to see a list of unnecessary services.

We recommend caution when disabling any Microsoft Services. The safest way to work with the Services tab is by selecting the Hide All Microsoft Services option at the bottom as you will see in the next slide.
