From Wikipedia, the free encyclopedia:
"Spyware is a broad category of malicious software designed to intercept or take partial control of a computer's operation without the informed consent of that machine's owner or legitimate user. While the term taken literally suggests software that surreptitiously monitors the user, it has come to refer more broadly to software that subverts the computer's operation for the benefit of a third party."
Considering the growth of this phenomenon in the last two years and how much it affects our day to day life I've decided to perform an in depth analysis of this computer problem. This article will describe how you can get infected, which are the ways to identify spyware, how spyware takes over your computer, how you can remove it and how you can prevent it.
I have infected a computer with spyware and you will be able to watch recordings of this "computer exorcism" which is the spyware removal process as I went through all the pains and troubles of any computer owner that tries to get rid of this garbage.
My only hope is that reading this article will help you protect yourselves and I hope it will become a valued instrument in the fight against this 21st century plague. Let's see next how spyware can invade your life and what an infected system looks like.
