As you will see in the movie Spy Sweeper got rid of the last nasty program and also has detected some other traces that were left behind by the Ad-Aware Scan. The fact that Ad-Aware didn't detect those items doesn't necessarily mean that Ad-Aware should not be used. Only one antispyware program is not always enough.

Why is Spy Sweeper So Powerful
* Spy Sweeper it's not only a scanner it will also run consistently in the system memory preventing spyware from coming in.
* The program will register itself as a system service which means it will have more privileges and a higher priority than the other applications
* The feature that fascinated me the most is the Early File Removal. This is a native application like the autochk utility that performs a disk check when the system had a serious failure. The early file remover will run before the logon screen and before the spyware program that infiltrated winlogon.exe is active. This is how it was able to remove the last and the most dangerous of the pests.
There is no antivirus that has this kind of power. I have to add that the functions for creating windows native applications are completely undocumented by Microsoft and that these kind of programs are very hard to create. This shows that the Webroot team is very ingenious and that they have worked extremely hard on creating a very good program.
I also have to add that I'm very disappointed by the Norton Internet Security program. It has more than ten system services and three startup applications, it slows the computer down incredibly and it doesn't protect you from anything. From my troubleshooting experience this good for nothing security bundle will actually create problems like loss of internet, inability to browse to secure websites, system crashes, blue screens, e-mail problems, Microsoft Word issues and adding to all that once it stops functioning you simply can't uninstall it unless you use the Symnrt tool that you have to download from the Symantec website.
The Norton Firewall will also recommend you to block Spy Sweeper from accessing the Internet.If you do that Spy Sweeper will be unable to update itself. I'm not sure if this is a marketing choice of the Symantec company however it shows once more that some security programs are worse than spyware.
